Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, has explained why he deleted his initial post that condemned the cruel killing of Deborah Samuel by her school mate in the College of Education, Sokoto on Thursday.
Deborah Samuel was killed – stoned to death and burnt by some Islam fanatics on the allegation that she “blasphemed” their religion and its leader.
It was seen on Atiku’s social media platforms – Twitter and Facebook where he condemned the act.
He wrote, “There cannot be a justification for such gruesome murder. Deborah Yakubu was murdered, and all those behind her death must be brought to justice. My condolences to her family and friends.”
The comment section of the post was stormed by some Muslims who commented that he had lost their votes and support for writing such.
This made the presidential aspirant delete the post and made another post in which he denied writing the said post.
He said, ”This evening I received information that a post was made that doesn’t agree with my orders. I use this to announce that any post without AA is not from me. May God protect – AA.”
This denial is coming on the heels of bashings unleashed on him on social media.
More updates coming.
